Wordless Wednesday - Butchart Gardens

(This photograph was taken quite a few years ago, in the springtime)
(I'm going with the theory that words in brackets don't count ;) )

  1. Oh, I love the Butchart Gardens! We have been there at different times in the spring and summer and it is amazing how different it can look each time. Always amazing :)

  2. I don't mind a few words. That is a pretty garden. The closest I have come to this garden is a puzzle I have of Butchart gardens. :)
    Nice photo.

  3. Hi MsS, I've been there a few times, but generally around the same time if year. I'd be interested to see what it's like in the fall. I really love the sunken garden, this picture was taken at the bottom of it.

Hi Rosey, Thanks, I really like this photo, every time I look at it I see something new. Glad you don't mind a few words ;)!

  4. I've been to Butchart only once, in summer, before my interest in gardening blossomed. I'd love to go back and explore it anew, this time with a different perspective.

That orange rhodo is magnificent ! (Of course, it could be an azalea for all I know, I'm just using the term loosely seeing all azaleas are rhodos) (Gotta love brackets, eh ?)

  5. Hi miss m, Thanks for your post! I also went before becoming a gardening fanatic, I would have a different perspective now. I know what you mean about the Azalea/Rhodo confusion, I was just reading about them a few days ago and it still has me puzzled. I think all Azaleas are Rhodos, but not all Rhodos are Azaleas. :)

  6. Oh my goodness, this picture looks so much like a Monet painting with the soft colored blooms and the water.

I've also been to Butchart Gardens, just once. I didn't have a garden, or know I would ever like gardening when I was there. I would so like to go back and appreciate it more.
