Still snow there? well we are having some 100F here in my climate. It is such a pleasure to see buds and lush green foliage among the snow. Lovely photos.
It definitely looks like canoe to weather to me! Goodness, where is spring?
You'll need a whole lot of canoes I think. Is it normal to still be getting snow now? Hope it's gone soon!
Hi Rebecca..oh my gosh... I am stunned at all this snow...I am wishing you a vibrant spring and shiny-summery forecast asap!!!Zap! hugs!!Kiki~
Nooooooooo!!!!!! Say it is not soooooooo!!!!!!
Rebecca girl .. that is just too much ! I would be so darn mad at all weather people ?? LOLSeriously .. that is awful , I hope it melts quickly and you can play in your garden again.I just had a quick peek at Blotanical and I'm not picking with hearts or what ever is thought up .. I really really hate the whole idea .. so I also will be absent from this whole mess. It has turned me off big time !Fingers crossed you get back into Spring/summer mode girl !! Joy : )
Not when you put it that way :)
Hi Muhammad, 100F? Amazing. It'll be a few months before we see temps like that. I'm so glad you like my photos, thanks for stopping by!Hi Curbstone, it's rediculous, isn't it?Hi Catherine, unfortunately, it is pretty normal. It was balmy for much of March, but we can still get snow in May and even (gasp) June!Hi Kiki, Thanks for the 'zap', I needed that lol.Hi Deborah, yes, sadly it is soooooooo.Hi Joy, the weather is quite upsetting, as is the new system, and my cold is the straw that broke the camels back. Off for another cup of tea (& sympathy).Hi wiseacre, thanks for stopping by! For my canoe reference, you can check out my last post. :)
Now that is just all wrong. Good grief girl I do not believe it.Just when you thought the garden was safe, wham.
It looks like you need an inverted yacht now. We had a heavy, wet snowstorm too. The plants are mostly covered and crushed, and all of the branches on shrubs and trees are bowed and cracking. However, it's often surprising how much recovers if it melts quickly. Perhaps those slowpoke perennials know this area a little better.
Oh Rebecca, how depressing! How much did you get this time? It really does look pretty on the flowers, but I know you are heartily sick of it, and you deserve real (permanent!) spring. -Jean
Um....maybe not? Maybe this means that fall will last longer for you this year and the snow will stay away longer?
Hi Lona, it's too bad Bilbo didn't stick around Alberta any longer, the snow might have straightened him out a little!Hi Northern, I was wondering what your current situation was. I think a retractable biodome would be even better than an inverted yacht. Both, however, are cost prohibitive.Hi Jean, Thanks for your message. I think we got a few inches, but about half melted on contact since the ground was warm. I hope it stops soon and the plants can recover.Hi Noelle, I wish! We get about 123 frost free days here, which can be comparable to snow free days. Sad but true. (did I mention I'm going to move in with you soon? ;) )
Hi Rebecca, *sigh* we got it too. A foot or more in some drifts in the back yard. I blame myself, I asked for moisture AND I bought plants and set them outside in their pots. What was I thinking??Ok, Mother Nature, joke's over, you got us good. ha ha
Is this usual weather for you? I can’t imagine snow in May, although it has happened also here few times in my life.I hope you will see green grass again very soon!
Hi MsS, you're right, it is probably our faults for being so ambitious. The plants I planted are looking ok, the ones that I hadn't planted yet and set in the garage or sunroom look awful. :(Hi vrtlarica, unfortunately it is usual to have a few cold snowy days in May, even though days can also be hot and lovely. A light dusting of snow in June isn't uncommon either!
There's a chilly breeze coming thru my window. Lots of rain and blustery wind. But no snow, shudder.
Hi Diana, I'm glad you aren't getting any snow, that really would be something!
Good Grief! Is this normal for your part of the world? I do hope it is gone by now!! Wishing you a warm sunny weekend!!
Rebecca I had to drop by again and check up on you poor thing with the cold .. I am almost finished with it, not husband might have it ? lord what a Spring between menopausal weather and the reno and the cold .. on and on and on ? LOL .. I hope the weather improves fast and your cold improves even faster girl .. so far we have escaped the snow they said we would get .. so far ?Happy Mother's Day girl !Joy : )
Rebecca I'm late getting over here to say hello to you - I really hope it melted really quick. I know that even in the UK we can sometimes get snow in the first week of May - but not as deep as that fall. It must have been such a shock.
Wow, I cannot believe you still have snow! That's just crazy, I hope it melts quickly for you :)
It gets a little infuriating to me but I know that the snow will be a blessing in the summer because it will be GREEN!Patience ...I am not good at that.
