Hi Deborah! Thanks for stopping by from so far away!! Summer is great, but going quickly. Hope all is well with you.
Hi Ms S, not sure, it's a safeway special lol. Each bloom is the size of my head, if it is limelight, it's limelight on steroids. I just coudln't resist, there's something about a green hydrangea...
Rebecca your garden is beautiful. I love the dark red carnations. What is that pretty burgundy leaved vine? I love the colors of the foliage. And I always love lilies. Have a wonderful week.
Hi Catherine, Thanks for your message! I'm very happy with my new Shasta 'Becky', seems to have the strongest stalks and biggest blooms. :)
Hi Lona, The dark red carnations are funny, since they are suppose to be 'King of the Blacks', but alas...I had to think a little about the burgundy vine (since I don't have one) - it's actually a purple leaf sandcherry with a new fan trellis in behind. It blended into the dark fence so I thought I'd add a bit of contrast.
Rebecca girl you have such pretty blooms here ! have you cut some hydrangea to dry already ? I want to do that again this year .. must likely Little Lamb .. that was my first time to dry those flowers and it worked so well. I would highly recommend Little Joe Pye Weed for your garden .. I am sure you will love it and it should do very well there !
Hi Rebecca, These are all very pretty! I especially like the two dayliles. P.S. You were asking about the hydrangea that I showed in a recent post. It was a clearance item and I have misplaced the plant tag. If I find it, I will be sure to let you know, because it continues to be one of the prettiest things in the garden.
Hello Rebecca, just found your blog and I wanted to say how much I enjoyed it. I was won over by your banner initially, as lilacs are my favourite flower, but then came all these other lovelies! Thanks for sharing, and I'll be back! Jane Gray
Hi Joy, Hehe, no, the hydrangea weren't grown here. I wish I had known about drying them - they didn't last long at all. I think I'll head out to try and find Little Joe today...
Hi Jennifer, those finds are always the best! Lucky you! :)
Hi Jane, Welcome! Thanks so much for your post & I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. :)

Lovely blooms! Pandora's Box daylily? I have one of those and it looks a lot like that one.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, Thanks for stopping by! You're right, they do look similar - but mine is actually Canadian Border Patrol. :)
