I love the fact that they eat aphids.Rebecca @ In The Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17513002032328432666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8671006236976973866.post-52938517682807242472009-10-07T14:01:15.074-07:002009-10-07T14:01:15.074-07:00Great pictures you should be proud of! The bees are feasting on the fall asters in a very focused and hurried way.

When you mentioned edging your border with a garden hose & spade I thought the story was going to take another direction...I used the same combo for my new bed and the garden hose didn't make it :(. A little electrical tape and it's holding, for now.Rebecca @ In The Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17513002032328432666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8671006236976973866.post-38187247822824385252009-10-04T10:13:16.533-07:002009-10-04T10:13:16.533-07:00It always makes me smile to find these in the gard...It always makes me smile to find these in the garden. Hope your ladybug posse takes back the Blue Fox Willow. :)

This weekend I had the hose out as a border, while edging a garden bed with my spade. It was only down a minute, and there was a ladybug travelling along it at a fast clip. It was the green superhighway through the grass. I had to put down my shovel and watch for a bit.Northern Shadehttp://northernshade.ca/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8671006236976973866.post-14466859458395285032009-09-26T09:21:01.284-07:002009-09-26T09:21:01.284-07:00We are lucky to have so many of them, especially i...We are lucky to have so many of them, especially in the spring and fall. You're right about them being low to the ground, actually, my official 'ladybug finder' found most of them for me ;).Rebecca @ In The Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17513002032328432666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8671006236976973866.post-64371260319569836732009-09-26T05:24:53.420-07:002009-09-26T05:24:53.420-07:00They are sooo cute. I just don't see as many ladybugs as I used to when I was a kid (maybe because I am not looking at the same height level?).Deborah at Kilbourne Grovehttp://kilbournegrove.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
